A Wine Rack Store writer's perfect end to a busy day

Today I had a busy day! To begin with I had to get some paperwork sorted out with enrollment services at my school. That always seems to turn into waiting in a line to learn about one more paper you need to fill out, followed by waiting in the same line to find out about one more paper to fill out. Luckily, the enrollment office opens early and I made it to my doctor's appointment with time to sit and wait there. Once I finished up at the doctor's, it was off to work at the native plant nursery. I completely love my job, but it is still work. All day I was on my feet potting up, fertilizing and watering salmonberries. It may not sound hard, but in the heat of the summer it tires me out quick!

So I make my way home and stop in my garden to admire all the growth, picking some peas and peppers and kale for a salad, and finally get in the shower. After the shower, I do a calming yoga routine to ease away from the stress, and finish off the night opening up a bottle of wine from my wine rack. My boyfriend is getting a delicious dinner ready in the kitchen while I sip away in my pajamas, waiting to finish off full day with a well-deserved relaxing meal, good company, and my glass of wine. Perfect.

A Wine Rack That’ll Cause Allergies

Spring in my garden means blooming flowers and massive amounts weeds. Every year it is a fight to keep them under control. They are in my flower beds and my gravel drive way. Basically if there is any clear ground, weeds will grow.

This year I have a better game plan. I am going to be put down weed blocking fabric and then cover it with bark. I won’t be able to do this in all my flowerbeds so I will still have to spend a lot of time pulling them out by hand. I could probably weave a wine rack from all the weeds I pulled out today.

When I finally conquer over the weeds I’ll be able to do the fun aspect of gardening, planting new plants. I have a lot of plans and have already bought a few plants in preparation. I take a lot of pride in my yard so it is going to take awhile to get it up to my high standards.

Wood Not Suitable For a Wine Rack

Now that I am back at home, I have chores to do. One of these chores is stacking wood. My parents heat their home in the winter with a wood-guzzling fireplace. To feed this fireplace we either fall trees on our property or it is given to us by friends. The three trees we are working with now came from someone who had no use for the wood.

Three trees worth of wood is a lot. We have made multiple wood piles so far and we are only about half way through all of it. It is incredibly sappy and has dripped all over my work clothes. This wood is definitely not suitable for wine rack making. Nobody likes to have a sticky bottle.

I don’t mind stacking and hauling the wood, I just hate being eaten alive by the mosquitoes. They go for any bit of bare skin and are always buzzing in my ears. Good thing they don’t have malaria here because I would be dead by now.

Good Sleep is Better Than a Full Wine Rack

I love sleeping in. If I could, I would do it everyday. When I worked at Macy’s I’d have to get up at 4 am for a 5 am shift. That’s torture for a person like me. My mind doesn’t start working properly until about 7:30 am. Until then, I am a zombie wandering around with my eyes half closed.

Americans were polled about there sleeping by the National Sleep Foundation and it was found that they average 6.7 hours of sleep a night. I find this shocking. I always try to get 8 hours even if it means that I need to go to bed at 9 pm. I am such a grump if I don’t get enough rest. In college I never pulled an all-nighter because it was more productive for me to sleep because I could concentrate better and work faster the next day to catch up.

Experts are blaming these fewer hours on the increased distractions we have in our lives. These distractions can range from our family to job stress to the television. I zap away this stress before bedtime by enjoying a bottle of wine off my wine rack.
