Coffee Wine Table is a hit!

The coffee table had some fairly mundane beginnings. I was shopping with my son who wanted a coffee table for his condo. I was shocked about how boring all the coffee tables were. The coffee tables were the same as they were 50 years ago, uninteresting, impractical and they have no features that would make folks want to be around them. I guess that is how the process started. The next thing I know, I am drawing coffee tables that I would like and that would provide a conversation piece for our guests. I thought immediately about the storage of wine (imagine that:-) . If you put wine into it, why not have it so that people can see your favorite bottles, so I put a glass top on it. I designed it to be strong and practical. Strong because unlike any other coffee table, people actually are going to use it for something else other than a place to put the remote control. Practical because it has a drawer to hold all those wine accessories that are stored throughout the kitchen not to mention the 38 bottles it can store. I think it is a quality piece that will entertain and be useful for many years.
Happy Friday

WooHoo....It's Friday! I hope everyone is excited for the weekend. It's my one year anniversary this Sunday, and I can't wait to give my husband his present. I got him a beautiful watch, and he's going to love it. I didn't know what to get him until I saw it just passing by. Presents are so hard sometimes. I have a hard time deciding what to get friends for their birthdays, and Christmas. I have given some of my friends wine charms before, and they just love them. They add so much personality and charm to a dinner party. If you ever have any troubles trying to find the perfect stocking stuffer, or just a little something to say thank you, or I've been thinking about you, I would suggest looking at the many unique styles of wine charms. They are all hand made by Denise Kitson here at the wine rack store. She's a wonderfully creative woman who also happens to be my Mom. If you can't find a set that you think that special person would like; you can always call Denise and ask her to make you a personalized set of your choice. She can do just about anything you want, she loves to make new sets, and wear new ideas. I have added a photo of the beautiful Denise so you can put a face to the voice on the other end of the phone.
Have a wonderful weekend, I know I will (=

My First Day Back at Work
Hello Everyone!
My name is Natalie, and I've been working here at the Wine Rack Store on and off for the last 10 years. My Father Mike is a great boss. He has allowed me to go to school and work for him part time for some extra dough. We all know how a few extra bucks can help a student. I haven't worked here for the last year, except for a couple fill in days. I got married July 1st of last year, and I have been living a little too far away to drive here everyday for a few hours work. I recently decided to go back to school to become a Dental Hygienist, and it just so happens that my school is 10 minutes away from here, so I am back working afternoons.
I love it here, it's a friendly mammal oriented atmosphere with it's own quirks. If you call in and hear birds yelling in the background it's okay (we get to hear them all day). We share our office with 6 parrots. We have the company of Coffee (our sweet dog), and DD (the conniving cat). It's never a dull moment here amongst the animals, people, and wine. Our customers are wonderful, and we get to chit chat with them all day. Some of them are so funny, and they will have the whole office in stitches. Jokes are welcome!
Well, it's nice to write a little about me and the store. Have a great day, and call in anytime.
